Tommy Toot is a dear friend of ours who has played in many of the bands whose records we have released in the past ten years including Better Reality, Spillage, Tout Suite, Moonflower and Salvo.
For the past couple of years he has been working on his own experimental noise stuff, named TooT and first played at a local folk horror fest. Whilst self described as noise, it is very much more complex than that, there are distinct melodies reminiscent of tuneful neocrust and drumloops that drive it forward interspersed with white noise of various pitches and samples to keep you fully engaged and immersed.
Noise is a marmite genre, it's either really good or bloody awful and pretentious. This is the really good type.
